Living Dangerously
Friday, August 31, 2007 at 09:31PM Melanie stopped by my office today. I saw Teri flailing her arms from her cube while I spoke dirty to the Korean Sr. Designer, but didn't pay any attention until Brandi was standing at the door. Teri always tries to help me with my extracurricular work activities even though she is adamantly against these activities. But even though she is adamantly against these activities, she desperately fears failure. I explained to her that coordinating my personal affairs was just as important as my business affairs and that her moral convictions were inappropriate for the workplace.
And while she did a great job of warning me, I did a very poor job of paying attention to her warnings. And while it was always my failure, I led her to believe that it was somehow her failure. As I mentioned before, good Assistants are hard to find.
Brandi had a question about the budget. She actually had no question, but pretended to have one once she saw I was in a meeting. She quickly left the room. Melanie told me that she could tell Brandi wanted to fuck me. I chuckled and said, "Nah."
When I saw Brandi later, she told me that she could tell Melanie wanted to fuck me. I chuckled and said, "Nah."
If I am not killed by some angry boyfriend or husband, it will be by a group of women who one day find out I'm nailing all of them at once...

Hey, better to go out in a blaze of glory than to be found in an undignified manner, having simply slipped off the toilet after a heart attack, eh? If you've got the drive, and the head for keepin' the details straight, play it as far as it goes, or as far as you can go. At least you'll never ask yourself "What if?"
Haha, I agree. That's why I keep doing it...
