us·er pool [yü-zer pül]

In the world of technology, a User is someone who uses a computer. More specifically, it's someone who asks stupid questions about the use of that computer.

In the context of this blog, a Pool refers to an available supply, the use of which is shared by a group.

In the 90's, I worked at one of the largest entertainment companies in Los Angeles. My job was to provide technical direction and support to these users, many of whom were female. That's where things got a little messy...

It was the late 1990’s when Information Services became Information Technology in an attempt to help promote its transition from a service organization to a strategic business partner. Well, that was the idea, anyway.

I worked in IT at that time and was employed by the consumer products division of one of the largest entertainment companies in Los Angeles. It was the happiest place on Earth to work. Because no matter how challenging each day was, it always seemed to have a happy ending.

You can call me Jason X.
